While TD Garden can now house more Bruins fans, it doesn't necessarily mean those fans will be having the most comfortable time. As part of a $100 million dollar renovation to the arena, 500 new seats were installed with less than sufficient leg room, and fans were not thrilled with the renovations.
Boston sports fans took to the internet, sharing their more than understandable grievance with the newly added seats. Originally met with a "get used to it' attitude from TD Garden officials, it seems as though the growing complaints have finally been heard. A message was released by TD Garden president Amy Latimer, assuring season ticket holders that management guarantees to 'make this right.'
“We installed new seats throughout the entire arena, with the goal of providing an improved fan experience,” said Latimer. "We are listening to feedback that some of the new seats do not meet expectations, specifically in fit and legroom."
"We will make this right for our guests."
Based on the statements from Lamiter, it seems as though TD Garden officials are headed back to the drawing board. There is currently no confirmed time line available as to when these changes will be corrected.
