The Wisconsin State Journal is reporting that defenseman K'Andre Miller, selected 22nd overall by the New York Rangers 2018, has been suspended by the Wisconsin Badgers. The university team will not give any specifics on the suspension, only saying it's for a violation of men's hockey team rules.

Miller was not at Wisconsin's practice Saturday, and the team would only say his absence is related to the suspension. He is continuing off-ice training and remains with the team. No word on whether he'll be playing in the season opener next Friday.

Last season, Miller was selected as Rookie of the Month twice and was named to the All-Big Ten Rookie Team and deemed a finalist for Freshman of the Year. The 19-year-old had 22 points, including five goals, in 26 games in 2018-2019.
