TSN Insider Bob McKenzie is sticking around for at least another five years. The Sports Network announced Wednesday McKenzie has signed a five-year contract extension that will see him continue across all TSN platforms through the 2024-25 season.

There had been rumours over the summer that McKenzie was considering retirement. He's been with TSN for more than 30 years in some capacity.

"I've been in the hockey media business for 40 years, more than 30 of it at TSN, and I could not be more proud, honoured, and excited to know I'm going to continue to be part of the TSN family for so many years to come,” said McKenzie. “This is home for me. I couldn't imagine being anywhere else."

McKenzie was awarded the 2015 Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award, as selected by the Professional Hockey Writers Association. He also received the 2015 Hockey Hall of Fame Media Award and was inducted in to the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame in 2018. In recognition of his considerable contributions to the game, McKenzie has been consistently selected by The Hockey News as one of the game's 100 most powerful and influential people.
