29-year-old Darcy Kuemper has signed a two-year extension with the Arizona Coyotes. According to Craig Morgan of The Athletic, it has a $4.5 million AAV, up from the $2.1 million the goaltender is currently making.
Kuemper still has one year left on his current deal, so the new one won't kick in until next season. Last year, he posted a 27-20-8 record with a .925 save percentage and 2.33 goals against average in a career-high 55 games. The native of Saskatoon owns an 80-61-27 record with a .916 SV% and a 2.50 GAA in 186 career NHL games with the Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota Wild.
Arizona General Manager John Chayka says "With Darcy and Antti (Raanta), we are confident that we have one of the best goaltending tandems in the League."
