Fan-favourite Edmonton Oilers flasher girl opens up on how her life has changed since the viral video

Kait Flynn, the viral Oilers flasher girl, has opened up about changes in her personal life ever since she trended and went viral last season at a hockey game.

The viral sensation of last year's playoffs had been Kaitlyn Flynn, a young woman making headlines by flashing the crowd after an exciting Edmonton Oilers win. It exploded on social media, mostly on X, with a mania amongst the hockey fans. Flynn was not as vocal or active publicly once the video broke out until a couple of weeks later when she returned, full of confidence.

It wasn't until being featured on the Spittin' Chiclets Podcast that Flynn's popularity went off the charts of what could ever have been imagined. She would go on to ink a deal with a popular magazine, meaning she would remain in the spotlight for the time being. The podcast interview told her story in such a way that both hockey fans and those curious about her newfound fame found intriguing.

Recently, Flynn sat down with said magazine for a feature that dove head-first into how much her life has changed since that infamous moment last spring. Per Liam McCormick from Oilers Daily, Flynn spoke to the wild attention that has come her way since, discussing some of the perks and challenges that come with living under such a microscope. The interview was a good look into her transition from being a relatively unknown fan to a widely recognized figure.

However, as her popularity grows and modeling opportunities continue to open for her, Flynn is no more pretentious than she has ever been. She still continues to work in the Alberta Oil Sands, in a lot of ways how her day job has kept the growth of her social media platforms in balance. Being able to not get swept up in the limelight but stay closer to her roots has helped many people, primarily Edmonton Oilers fans, appreciate her. She has actually become a pretty well-known online personality within the Oilers community, with more than 100,000 followers across multiple platforms.

The fact that Kait Flynn has managed to take that one burst of internet fame and parlay it into a string of opportunities, everything from a new pickup truck to keeping her day job, is something to be envied, really. As the Oilers gear up for another playoff run, fans might just see Flynn make a return to the spotlight should the team find success again.
