It was a great run, but as far as being officially recognized by the league, Jack Eichel's point streak has ended at 17 games. Buffalo pulled him from Thursday night's game against Philadephia at essentially the last minute with an upper-body injury. According to Mike Harrington of Buffalo News Sports, league officials told him that's where the point streak ends as far as being officially recognized.

According to TSN's Darren Dreger, Eichel has the flu.

Eichel recorded 16 goals and 15 assists in the Sabres last 17 games in a row. He could have tied a franchise record with a point against the Flyers tonight. He has 50 points in 35 games for the Sabres this season.
Conor Sheary replaced the 23-year-old in the lineup.
