Meanwhile, another rumour, backed up by alleged "team sources," has emerged from Russia. According to Telegram.ru channel "Mutko Protiv," after certain road games, Dallas did not travel to the next city that same night. During those evenings, the source alleges that Montgomery partied in his hotel room "with female companions, alcohol, and harder substances." The source claims that management knew about this as early as this offseason. Montgomery was warned that the next 'party' would result in his firing.
According to the source, Montgomery was offered a chance to enter a substance abuse program, which he refused.
