The NHL's Department of Player Safety has announced a fine for Brendan Lemieux for elbowing Cody Glass of the Vegas Golden Knights during a game Sunday Night. Lemieux will pay $2000 as a result.
The play, which you can see below, happened with just over three minutes left in the 2nd period. Glass would leave the game immediately following the elbow. He did not practice with the team today. Lemieux did not receive a penalty on the play. He fought William Carrier of the Golden Knights early in the third as an answer for the elbow. You can see the fight below.
Following the game, Lemieux was asked about the elbow but only gave a very brief answer before being pulled away by a Rangers PR person.
