Three QMJHL players on the Cape Breton Eagles involved in scary car accident
There's unfortunately been no shortage of tragedy in the hockey world as of late, and for three QMJHL players, they have reportedly avoided one in an accident.
The Cape Breton Eagles are set for a big season in the QMJHL, and with the campaign quickly approaching, three players were on their way to the city on Monday. Unfortunately, en route they were reportedly involved in a scary car accident, with the team officially announcing on Tuesday morning.
Thankfully, the trio of Angelo Fullerton, Lucas Romeo and Brayden Schmitt will all be okay, with the latter expected to be released after an overnight stay, with the other two already released after sustaining minor injuries. Given the tragedy over this past week, this is so lucky that the hockey world didn't have to mourn another senseless tragedy, with the teams General Manager expressing his thanks and relief in this statement.
As of right now, it appears everyone involved will walk away from the situation, but as always, remember to take care when one the road so we can avoid unnecessary tragedies in the future.
