Swedish goalkeeper Jhonas Enroth and HC Dinamo Minsk of the KHL have parted ways.
December 20th was the deadline for KHL clubs to buy out players, and Dinamo waited until the last minute. Enroth, who was chosen by fan vote to represent Dinamo Minsk in the KHL All-Star Game, along with Vyacheslav Gretsky, will now have to scramble if he wants to stay in the KHL. December 25th is the league's deadline for new acquisitions, and if he doesn't make it onto another team, his All-Star spot is in jeopardy.
The 31-year-old Swede is one of the brighter spots on a team that is second from bottom of the Western Conference. He is the highest paid player ona team going nowhere fast, and his record is a rather putrid 7-17-6, with an .891 SV% and 3.13 GAA. Enroth played for the Sabres, Stars, Kings, and Maple Leafs during his NHL career, compiling a 50-69-16 record.
