It has been announced by Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning, on Sunday morning, that the organization has placed 27-year-old forward Sven Baertschi on waivers.

The young forward, who was drafted 13th overall by the Calgary Flames in 2011, appeared in 6 games with the Canucks this year, in which he recorded 2 assists.
Baertschi also netted 4 goals and 23 points in 16 games with Vancouver's AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets this season.
During the 2018-19 season, he spent 26 games with the Canucks, finding the back of the net 9 times, finishing the season with 14 total points.
All 30 other NHL teams have the option of obtaining the Swiss forward via waivers through Monday morning.
