Niagara IceDogs goaltender Tucker Tynan has undergone successful surgery after suffering a deep laceration to his leg during a game against the London Knights in the OHL Thursday night.
-
The game ended up getting cancelled as medical staff attended to Tynan in order to get him safely transported to hospital.
-
The cut happened after a collision with a Knights player. The IceDogs say Tynan is now on the road to recovery.
-
Tynan left a lot of blood on the ice after being evacuated on a stretcher. Paramedics and IceDogs medical staff provided first aid for about 10 minutes before his emergency evacuation. It's great to hear that he is doing ok and expected to make a full recovery. A 48 second video of the incident can be viewed below. Warning: this video is graphic and contains quite a bit of blood.
