TSN Insider Darren Dreger is reporting that Buffalo Sabres blueliner Zach Bogosian has requested a trade. Bogosian has played 10 games with the Sabres this season, recording no goals and three assists.

Bogosian is on the final year of a seven-year contract that carries a $5.14 million AAV. That contract was initially signed with the Winnipeg Jets in 2013. In Febraury of 2015, he was traded out of Winnipeg, along with Evander Kane and the rights to Jason Kasdorf, to Buffalo in exchange for Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, Brendan Lemieux, Joel Armia, and a conditional first-round pick (Jack Roslovic) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Bogosian has missed large chunks of several seasons due to injury. That includes this current season when he missed the first 22 games with a hip injury. The 29-year-old is listed as a healthy scratch for Thursday night's game against the Nashville Predators. He has appeared in just 203 games over the past four years because of injuries.
