Rasmus Dahlin has been out with a concussion since taking an elbow to the head from Lightning defenceman Erik Cernak.

Dahlin joined the Sabres for their morning skate today for the first time since he sustained the injury. He was wearing a non-contact jersey at practice as he still hasn't passed the tests required to be cleared for contact. There was no medical update given and there is still no timetable for his return.
Dahlin noted after the skate that he is feeling “a lot better” and is happy to have rejoined the team. Although he is missing playing the games, he mentioned that this was the first time he “was sitting in the press box... watching the game, so it was pretty weird." He also said that "this stretch had been really helpful for (him). (He has) been learning a lot from watching the game and not playing it, so it's been good and bad."
Buffalo has managed to put up a 3-1-2 record without Dahlin in the lineup, however after missing 7 games, he still leads all Sabres defencemen with 16 points.
