NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has announced that the NHL will be heading to Europe for its 4th consecutive year, naming Finland and Czech Republic as hosts of the 2020 Global Series.
The 2020 Global Series will feature the Boston Bruins and Nashville Predators opening the regular season in Prague, at the O2 Arena. The Columbus Blue Jackets and Colorado Avalanche will also meet in Europe, playing a pair of games against one another in Helsinki.
The Bruins and Predators will also be finishing their training camps in Germany and Switzerland, and play an exhibition game before the start of the regular season.
Bettman made the announcement from Stockholm, Sweden, where the NHL Global Series is currently hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning and Buffalo Sabres for a pair of games Friday and Saturday.
