Jordan Greenway dealt to Buffalo
The Buffalo Sabres are at a point in their rebuild where they can afford to flip some assets to add some depth and grit. They've done just that by adding Jordan Greenway from the Minnesota Wild Friday.
The return for the 26-year-old forward is a 2nd round pick in 2023, and a 5th-rounder in 2024.
Greenway, who was drafted by Minnesota in the 2nd round in 2015, won't add a lot of offense. He has 2 goals and 5 assists in 45 games this season. At six-foot-six, 230 lbs., what he does bring is size and the willingness to use it.
The second rounder involved in the deal belonged to Vegas, and was acquired in the Jack Eichel trade.
