According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Predators have traded 31-year-old forward Mikael Granlund to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a second-round pick.
TSN's Chris Johnston added that the second-round pick is in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and the Predators didn't retain any of Granlund's salary.
Granlund, a former first-round pick of the Minnesota Wild, is in his 11th year in the National Hockey League and fourth full season as a member of the Nashville Predators.
In 58 games this season, the Oulu (Finland) native has 36 points (nine goals, 27 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a minus-16. Granlund has two years remaining on his contract beyond this season with an AAV of $5 million.
