P.K. Subban has recently been criticized for his off-ice activities and use of social media. We recently reported that the New York Post's Brett Cyrgalis wrote in a column that Subban has become an "absolute shell of himself on the ice" due to his focus being on marketing himself online.
Well, the Devils' defenceman is returning to old ways, announcing on his social media accounts that he will be matching donations of up to $250,000 made to the Montreal Children's Hospital before the end of the year.

This is a continuation of the commitment P.K. made back in 2015 while still a member of the Montreal Canadiens. He pledged to raise a total of $10 million for the hospital by 2022.
His support for the hospital and the children that are treated there has not wavered through his trade away from Montreal to the Nashville Predators or now that he is with the Devils. He has been visiting and supporting the Montreal Children's Hospital since his rookie season with the Habs and will continue to return and giveback through 2022 and beyond.
Back in 2015 at the press conference to announce his $10 million commitment, Subban said : “In life, I believe you are not defined by what you accomplish, but by what you do for others. That's how I live my life. This is not about hockey or about how many goals I score next year or even how the team does.”
Based on that statement and the vision he has for his life and career, the Subbanator seems perfectly content with his social media use and hopefully the goodwill he continues to display off the ice will turn into some good karma for him on it.
