No one ever said you had to be a mathematician to play hockey. Boston's Brett Richie proved that fact recently when he was asked about his team's third loss in a row after a long stretch without losing a game.
"It's an 82-game season. We weren't going to go 80-3 or whatever it was," said Ritchie. Hopefully we don't have to explain to anyone what the issue is with that sentence.
Ritchie's mistake caught the attention of teammate Torey Krug, who retweeted the statement and told all of his followers to "Stay in skool." Check it out:

It's always great when teammates take the time to make fun of each other. We're sure Ritchie will be hearing about this one in the locker room for at least a little while. Hopefully no one asks him to count sticks or anything.
