The Ottawa Senators have announced that they will welcome back fans to the Canadian Tire Centre on September 18 for a rookie showcase against the Montreal Canadiens.
The venue will be following guidelines released by the province of Ontario, and this means that the club will only allow fully vaccinated individuals. The Sens' first home game is scheduled for October 14, and the expectation is that the team will be playing in front of a full capacity arena.
Back in August, the Winnipeg Jets became the first Canadian team to announce they will have full capacity for vaccinated fans. The Flames then soon after released a similar statement. Montreal is still where things are a bit sticky. They will only allow 7,500 fans in the Bell Centre for the time being.
