Former OHL player talks about abuse he took from teammates

Former OHL forward Eric Guest released a video on his Instagram where he discussed an extreme hazing incident that took place during his rookie year with the Kitchener Rangers during the 2016-17 season.

Guest, 20, says that when he was 16 him and another rookie on the team were locked in a bathroom by an older player and were told they could not leave the room until they did cocaine. He mentions that the particular player was drafted into the NHL at the time and as a result, had a lot of power within the team. One thing Guest mentioned he was not going to do was release the names of any of the players involved. However, there have been many speculations on Twitter as to who the player may have been based off of the roster during the time this alleged incident took place.

The 20-year-old last played in the OHL during the 2018-19 season with the Rangers. This past season, he played in the GOJHL, a Junior B league in Ontario, where he posted 22 goals and 47 points in 40 games. He also mentioned in his 15-minute video on his Instagram page that he will continue releasing videos going over his OHL experiences once a week. The videos will include more hazing stories, as well as concussion treatment and treatment on other injuries he sustained during his three seasons with the Rangers.
