Another reason for games being postponed is because the Saint John Sea Dogs, and Halifax Mooseheads have suspended team activities because of positive tests within their organizations.
The decision was made after the announcement of new restrictions by Public Health Officials of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.— QMJHL (@QMJHL) November 24, 2020
The seven games being postponed are:
November 25th: Acadie-Bathurst vs Charlottetown.
November 27th: Charlottetown vs Cape Breton.
November 27th: Halifax vs Moncton.
November 28th: Acadie-Bathurst vs Saint John.
November 29th: Charlottetown vs Acadie-Bathurst.
November 29th: Moncton vs Cape Breton.
November 29th: Halifax vs Saint John.
Re-scheduled dates have not yet been announced by the QMJHL, but likely will be in the coming days. This isn't the first time the league has had to postpone games this season. Back in October, the QMJHL postponed games in the East and West divisions for two weeks due to the majority of Quebec-based teams being located within a designated "red zone", meaning that those areas were in a lockdown.
Hopefully going forward they try to avoid these postponements in order to get a full season completed on time, but at the rate things are going, more games being postponed is inevitable.
