Blackhawks looking to hire three-time Stanley Cup champion for TV analyst role
With former Blackhawk Eddie Olczyk leaving the team to join the Seattle Kraken as a TV colour analyst, the same role he had in Chicago, the organization is searching for a replacement.
According to Jeff Agrest of Chicago Sun Times, the Blackhawks are interested in bringing back three-time Stanley Cup champion, Patrick Sharp, as a replacement for Olczyk.
"The Blackhawks are pursuing Patrick Sharp to be their TV analyst on NBCSCH, though it's unclear whether he'd be the full-time analyst or share the job." Agrest said.
He added, "Before Eddie Olczyk's departure for the Kraken's booth, radio analyst Troy Murray was expected to fill in when Olczyk was working a TNT game. Sharp moved his family to Connecticut, so if he declines the full-time job, Murray could figure prominently in the team's plans."

Sharp, 40, spent parts of fifteen seasons in the NHL including parts of eleven with Chicago. In his time with Chicago, the Winnipeg native won the Stanley Cup three times in 2010, 2013 and 2015, recording 532 points in 749 games.
In 2018, Sharp began his TV work, joining NBC Sports Chicago as an in-studio analyst, before moving to TNT in 2021.
